Philco Transitone"Flying Wedge" Model 48-230

The model 48-230 was one of Philco's
innovative designs known as the "Flying Wedge".
This model when introduc in 1947 sold for $29.95.
The set covers standard broadcast
from 540-1620kc and has the five tube
line-up 7A8 (converter), 14A7 (IF),
14B6 (det/avc/2nd af), 50A5 (AF o/p)
and 35Z5GT (rectifier).

You are looking at a brown and cream Philco Transitone"Flying Wedge" Model 48-230 vintage tube radio made circa 1948. This stylish blast from the past is a real beauty. This example is in excellent condition containing no cracks, chips, nicks, dings, deep scratches, stresslines, repairs, or tube burns. The chassis is clean and complete and currently playing well.
